Every year, we gather for the “Where the World is Heading?” conferences. This year’s edition will be held online on May 22–23, organized by the Institute of Oceanology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, in cooperation with the Sopot Science Association and other partners. All events are part of the EU4Ocean Coalition initiative.
We invite young ocean explorers aged 5 to 18 to take part in the Junior Conference: “Where the World is Heading?”
Participants – individually or in groups – are encouraged to share their ideas and research related to the marine environment. We welcome creative presentations from all age levels, centered around the guiding question: Where is the world heading?
The following day is dedicated to university students and doctoral candidates, who are invited to present their research during the International Sopot Youth Conference: “Where the World is Heading?”
Now in its second decade, this conference continues the tradition of fostering dialogue and collaboration among the next generation of scientists.
All events are free and open to the public.
Let’s explore the future together — through science, curiosity, and collaboration.
So, we will see each other in Sopot soon! All events are open and free.
